Two Productions Return To Beacon To Film Next Week: Here's The Schedule and Locations
/Two different film productions return to Beacon next week for filming, the City of Beacon has announced. A Little Beacon Blog has submitted FOIL requests for the amount the City of Beacon earned for the last two periods of filming for both film fees and fees for Police Officer time, if any. ALBB will FOIL again for these productions, as well as if a rental fee was charged by the City of Beacon to the production company for the closure of the public Churchill parking lot.
A Little Beacon Blog will also be hosting a panel for businesses and residents to learn from a DGA (union) NYC Location Manager who is not working on these productions but has worked on major studio films and episodic television to educate businesses and residents on what to expect and ask for financially from these productions.
ALBB is currently looking for a location for this panel, and sponsors so that the panel event can be free for people to attend. If interested in sponsoring, please reach out. Details will be posted shortly with sponsor levels and pricing. ALBB’s publisher Katie used to work in film production on Law & Order and other productions, and wants to be sure the community is prepared and educated.
