The annual Beacon Back 2 School Block Party from I Am Beacon and Key Food was a success ☀️ Thank you for the opportunity to participate as a community table. Thank you to those ALBB readers 📰 who came over to say “Hi.” Love knowing you’re out there. It’s part of why we pop up this tent to paint faces. 📖 You all are the characters in the pages we publish - it’s your story.
Kenya Gadsden was the MC, encouraging tea and keeping the beat moving through raffle winners. So many community tables were out to give people the chance to meet these resources face to face.
Mayor Lee Kyriacou visited tables, Councilperson Lastar Gorton participated, and former Councilperson and current Dutchess Legislator Molly Rhodes attended.
The Girl Scouts were there, For Beacon Schools , Beacon Fire, and Police, CareFull MD Walk-In Clinic and Urgent Care, PTOs, Twins Athletics , Beacon Hoops , ChalkWaker Steve , Sun River Health, and many more known and new faces circulated.
