September is really right around the corner (don't get us wrong, we love the Fall here in the Hudson Valley) but Summer, slow down a little bit! SPIRIT OF BEACON DAY UPDATE The last Sunday of September is fast approaching! The Spirit of Beacon Day is September 25th, 2022, and organizations have begun applying for Tables and Parade Participation. Do not delay if you intend on participating in the day! The Howland Public Library has evolved and transformed over the past 150 years. To celebrate this milestone, the library is hosting a series of community exhibits. For Words Unbound, the Library is looking for works of art inspired by libraries, literature, the printed word, or physical books. Work can be in any medium including, painting, drawing, collage, photography, textile, and assemblage. Accepted artists will be notified by Saturday, September 10th.
