HIRING: Marketing Manager/Director at ViaHero

ViaHero is seeking an experienced full-time Marketing Manager/Director. Are you excited about building a new way to travel? We've built a platform where locals plan your trip. We're reinventing the travel agent. It's a brand new way to travel, for those who want to travel independently and see a place through a local's eyes.


  • Develop and execute the marketing strategy across all ViaHero channels including content marketing, affiliate partner marketing, customer referral marketing and performance marketing (email, retargeting ads, prospecting ads).

  • Craft a marketing plan that accelerates momentum and evangelism among our 20,000 paying travelers.

  • Demand generation: Develop, test and implement new high-impact, multi-channel strategies.

  • Define and own marketing metrics and goals, including owning the marketing stack and attribution models.

  • Work strategically with founders to drive quarterly and yearly goals.


  • 3+ years of product marketing experience, with 1.5+ years as a Marketing Manager or higher role, with an online consumer brand.

  • A proven track record in leading channel strategy for email, retargeting ads, and performance marketing.

  • Experience executing on strategy within an online consumer brand; experience within the travel, tech-enabled services or marketplaces is a big bonus.

  • Proven ability to develop marketing channel strategy, and then turning that into actionable items that you or an entry-level marketer can clearly execute.

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with high attention to detail. Proven track record of defaulting to action and asking more questions.

  • Fluent across digital marketing channels - SEO, SEM, social ads, email marketing, lead generation, and affiliate marketing.

  • Experienced product marketer who can take brand messaging and optimize a channel.

  • Obsessed with the user journey, and you understand how product and marketing intertwine to craft the ideal user experience.

  • Ability to have detailed conversations regarding analytics and metrics while balancing with consumer and creative insight.

  • Detailed and data-driven. You love testing and iterating your way to your goals, once you have an in-depth understanding of the customer.

  • A passion for experimentation and creating a culture of learning

  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit, and experience working for small companies. You’re used to doing more with less, finding creative ways to resolve an issue with a simple solution, collaboratively.

  • You are a strategic thinker while able to get into tactical execution when needed.

  • Burning desire to build the next great travel brand

Compensation, Benefits, & Perks

  • $60-85k/annual salary
